Kentuky Derby

I feel like a horse who has been training and training for the race. Finally, I am good enough to compete. I am seasoned enough, youthful enough, and brave enough to have the possibility to win. The gate is before my face, I am just waiting for it to be lifted. All this energy focused and pent-up and ready to blast me forward. I have trained so much that I am conditioned for patience and precision. My timing is right, my determination is undaunted. I am ready for the race.

I write my thoughts on the moon tonight. I appreciate the possibility of someone else reading my words as I share my thoughts with the moon. A night time of peace.
